What’s On My Mind This Month?
Good News

I’m obsessed with street art. I've literally planned trips around it (shoutout to seeing Seth Globepainter’s work in Bali). So when I saw what’s happening in Stornara, Italy, I was hooked. This once forgotten ghost town has completely revived itself with over 140 murals and the transformation is stunning.
Local artist Lino Lombardi kicked it all off with a street art festival called Stramurales, inviting artists from around the world to transform the crumbling walls of shops and homes into vibrant canvases. Now? The town draws thousands of visitors a year, tourism revenue is up 25%, and even better young families are moving back.
One cafe owner said it best:
“The murals saved my business, but more than that, they saved our community.”
Can’t wait to visit, and also get this little reminder of what art can do.

🎓 Tip of the Month
Think ChatGPT’s just here to be polite?
Think again.
I ran this prompt the other day and, oof, it gave me the kind of brutally honest insight I didn’t know I needed. What started as a curiosity turned into a full-blown clarity session. It called out things I’d been brushing off… and flipped the way I was thinking about the next stage of my business.
Not gonna lie: it stung a little. But it also gave me a roadmap.
If you’re feeling even slightly stuck, this is the kind of uncomfortable-but-useful reflection worth doing.
Prompt: I want you to act and take on the role of my brutally honest, high-level advisor.
Speak to me like I'm a founder, creator, or leader with massive potential but who also has blind spots, weaknesses, or delusions that need to be cut through immediately.
I don't want comfort. I don't want fluff. I want truth that stings, if that's what it takes to grow.
Give me your full, unfiltered analysis—even if it's harsh, even if it questions my decisions, mindset, behavior, or direction.
Look at my situation with complete objectivity and strategic depth. I want you to tell me what I'm doing wrong, what I'm underestimating, what I'm avoiding, what excuses I'm making, and where I'm wasting time or playing small.
Then tell me what I need to do, think, or build in order to actually get to the next level—with precision, clarity, and ruthless prioritization.
If I'm lost, call it out.
If I'm making a mistake, explain why.
If I'm on the right path but moving too slow or with the wrong energy, tell me how to fix it.
Hold nothing back.
Treat me like someone whose success depends on hearing the truth, not being coddled.

📉 Is LinkedIn quietly fighting AI content?
LinkedIn may be downranking AI-generated or overly polished content, and users are noticing it, some are seeing two-week-old posts suddenly getting views simply because they’re more human. The algorithm seems to favor opinion-based content with personal experience and trust signals over anything that feels too AI-generated. Read more.
👀 Cloudflare just stepped in to help publishers fight back.
They’ve launched a new tool that lets website owners block AI crawlers or charge them via a “pay-per-crawl” model. The goal? Give creators more control over how their content is scraped, used, and monetized, especially now that search traffic is dropping and AI Overviews are eating clicks.
Backed by names like Condé Nast, Reddit, and Pinterest, it feels like the first serious attempt at building a more sustainable content-AI ecosystem. Is it perfect? Nope. There’s been plenty of pushback. But it’s refreshing to see a major player actually try to protect content creators. See my thoughts on Linkedin here.
🧪 Reddit just dropped something big: Reddit Answers. And it’s awesome. If you’ve ever wanted to mine Reddit for audience insights (without going full digital detective), Reddit Answers makes it stupid easy to see what people are actually saying—at scale. My friend Chris Latham did a great walkthrough on LinkedIn. Watch now.
📊 Google just launched the new Search Console Insights. It’s now fully integrated into the main Search Console dashboard (bye beta tab), giving you a cleaner, faster way to see what content is working and what’s not. Learn more.
👋 Want to know if your content’s actually on-topic? My friend Mihir just launched a new content relevancy tool—and it’s damn good. It highlights off-topic sections in your blog posts, helps tighten up your topic alignment, and makes sure your content is built for the AI-driven search world we’re all navigating now (thanks Google + LLMs). If you’re publishing content in 2025, this is worth a test drive. Try it now.
🎥 This AI design walkthrough is gold for non-designers.
Been deep-diving into AI creative tools lately, and this 30-min video from Brett (DesignJoy) is one of the best I’ve seen. He breaks down how anyone—even without a design background—can use ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Runway to create stunning branded visuals and turn them into motion ads. Watch the walkthrough.
🚀 What I’m Focused on Now
June was a deep dive into creative strategy. I wrapped up Make Ads that Convert 2025 (shoutout to Motion - highly recommend), and it was so good I went straight into the AI Creative Strategist Blueprint from Alex Cooper + Jimmy Slagle.
I’ve also been working through Steve Toth’s Optimize Pages for AI Search with AEO , plus brushing up on Midjourney and Google Veo.
It’s a big design month… for someone who still doesn’t call herself a designer.
