The DaSilva Download – April Edition

What’s On My Mind This Month?

April Showers.. bring May Flowers?

We’re back… and it’s April!

That lovely time of year when you need a snow suit, rain boots, and a t-shirt just to make it to lunch. But honestly, if it means a little sunshine, I’ll take it. 🌤️

✨ Good News

This month, I’ve been super busy helping to build out the AI Strategy & Operations lab for Growclass. It’s a program designed for women founders and entrepreneurs to scale their businesses using the tools and practices of 2025. The gender gap in AI adoption is real — and this is part of a national effort to change that.

The lab is part of the AI Skills Lab Canada initiative in partnership with The Forum and Camp Tech. I’m so excited for when it starts on April 28!

🎓 Tip of the Month

Chat GPT-4o now understands text and images at the same time, giving you way more control over your creations. That means no more glitched-out hands or typo-filled text — those could soon be a thing of the past.

But more exciting? It opens up brand new ways to actually use AI in your day-to-day.

Here are five ways to start experimenting:

🛋️ Redecorate your space:
Upload a photo of your room and ask ChatGPT to restyle it. Want to combine features from other photos? Upload those too. For example: “Use the hardwood floors from this photo in the other room.”

🎨 Try intuitive editing:
Upload a photo and say something like: “c or “Apply a Lego filter with tech CEOs.” People are having fun turning classic art and selfies into entirely new styles.

📸 Create vibe-based marketing:
Drop in a product photo and ask: “Build an Instagram ad campaign around this,” or “Match this ad’s style with my own product.” Use visuals you love to inspire your own content.

📊 Make ideas visual:
Say, “Turn this paragraph into a diagram,” or “Explain this with a comic strip.” Whether it’s charts, memes, or illustrations — you can bring complex ideas to life.

📱 Mock up new designs:
Trying to imagine a new app or landing page? Ask ChatGPT to generate layouts. Try, “Show me 3 homepage ideas for a skincare brand,” or “Design a minimalist UI for a meditation tracker.”

🚀 What I’m Focused on Now

March was a big learning month for me — and the AI deep-dive continues in April.

Right now, I’m working on how AI actually fits into real-world marketing: what’s hype, what’s working, and what still needs figuring out (especially in SEO and PPC).

Courses I’m currently taking:
📘 Prototyping with AI (Maven)
Google’s 5-Day GenAI Intensive

Blog update coming next month — but for now, I’m still heads down, testing and building.
